Not, as you might have expected, a song lyric or a poem (though it is a song, and it is relevant).

I’m toying doing something different with Lightpath; in particular, renaming it to garytaylor LLP. I already have this domain name of course, and the only other Gary Taylor registered at Companies House, Gary Taylor Ltd is about to be wound up. Emma and I hd always said that we wouldn’t want a company named after ourselves, but then again, I’m the only one actually working on/for Lightpath!

It would certainly simplify things on the the emails front, too… I have so many now, all of which I’ve created on various domain names.

That does leave the problem of what to do with Eeyore’s Gloomy Place. The first thing I’d have to do is strip out all the poetry, and the song lyrics. Then I’d have to rebuild the pictures galleries, to use the built-in function instead of PhotoPress. Converting all those tags back into catagories (cos I never liked the tagsonomy part of it) means I’d have to revise very post, and delete anything ‘dodgy’ while I was at it. A lot of work, basically.

But the more observant among you will have noticed that the address of this blog is now blog.garytaylor.org.uk (what, you didn’t notice?) but using the same database as before. I’ve done a quick tidy-up to delete a few links that were password-protected, but it should all work as before.

Next step? Do that database prune, export all the data and re-import it into a set of blank tables. I know… asking for trouble! And then… build a whole new site, using some of the existing Lightpath data, with a new template and another WordPress installation (I’m getting quite good at WordPress now)…
